Grid Earth Lights Solar Lights Used By Orphanage in Kenya

The children of the Rehmain Bungoma, Kenya orphanage in were attempting to study by candle light. These open flames have in the past been the cause of many burn injuries in addition to being ineffective as a suitable source of reading light. These wonderful children are so anxious to read that they are willing to risk burns and scars to be able to read a book.

Today several of the solar lamps from The Grid Earth Project are being used by these children who huddle together under them, because they need more. Fortunately more are on the way. Due to the continued generosity and support of the Grid Earth Project the Northwest Austin Rotary Club will be delivering 100 more solar lamps to the children.
